Exploring New Water

Exploring New Water

It always amazes me how much new water there is to fish, even right here in the Hills. We all have our favorite spots to fish, and we get pretty good at fishing them. We take weeks off from work to drive thousands of miles and explore new water, and it's always a great experience. However, it's a refreshing thought that there's dozens of miles of local streams that I have yet to explore. Yesterday morning I headed to a brook trout stream that I'd heard about many times, but had never made it there. I loaded up the 3 weight and my small stream box. 45 minutes later, I found lots of pretty brookies, a nice wild rainbow, and some great scenery. Here's a couple pictures for you to gander at - go explore some new water for yourself. You wont be disappointed! Ryan
